Element is a superhero universe built around the story of Mateo Alvarez—a teenage Afro-Latino from the Bronx who didn’t ask for abilities, just a chance to survive. But when elemental forces awaken inside him, Mateo is pulled into a secret war of villains, buried truths, and a shadow presence known as Entropy.

Element is more than action and spectacle. It’s a character-driven saga about family, legacy, identity, and the fight to stay human—where the biggest battles aren’t only against enemies, but against the history you inherit.

My son, Jesiah, and I are the co-creators of the Element series. I’m an award-winning filmmaker and producer from The Bronx, New York, and when Jesiah showed a real talent—and a deep passion—for comic books, we set out on a mission to build our own comic universe together as father and son. I bring my filmmaking background—screenwriting, story structure, character development, and cinematic worldbuilding—while Jesiah brings an innovative, originality-first imagination that pushes our ideas into new territory. Together, we’re focused on delivering something we believe has been missing in this industry: fresh mythology, authentic voices, and stories that hit with both heart and scale.
